All things are Possible
My wake up call..
I suffered a Stroke on the 13th of November 1999.
A few days previous I woke up with neck pain.
I decided to visit an osteopath a friend had suggested.
Within 18 hours of the treatment I suffered a stroke in the bath.
The aftermath of that day left a toll on me, for the month's and year's ahead.
The Stroke lovingly gifted me with chronic pain, which consumed me on a daily basis.
However, life does go on. I dusted myself off and continued to live my life as best as I could.
" IT'S NOT WHAT HAPPENS TO US IT'S WHAT WE DO WITH THESE EXPERIENCES"
After a wake up call like that, I decided to not take life for granted and follow my passions, and in 2001 I trained in Swedish Massage.
I then proceeded the following year to obtain a diploma in Sport & Remedial Massage.
This gave me the opportunity to run my own business, which I did alongside working in Healthcare.
I was also working as a volunteer for a couple of hospices, doing massage with children and adults, which I loved.
However the toll became too much for me. I thought I could push myself through the pain, how wrong was I.
I was mentally, physically and emotionally drained, I felt I had nothing left to give and checking out seemed like a good idea at the time.
"If I couldn't enjoy life what was the point"
Somehow I knew that wasn't the right thing to do, I had people who relied on me.
I couldn't give up!
"VICTIMS ASK WHY ME?
SURVIVORS ASK WHAT NOW"
I was having my usual morning routine, heat cushion for my neck pain, my usual pills and coffee, waiting for the pills to kick in, so I could get out of bed, get dressed and start the day.
That was the day, I decided I deserved to have quality of life.
There was only one thing I could do, find a way to Heal.
I became the CEO of my own health.
I signed myself out of the pain clinic I attended for many years, and decided to take my Power back.
I knew the toll of over 15 years of many different drugs I consumed to alleviate my pain, were not doing me any good.
I focused on an Integrative approach to my health and healing.
Nutrition played a big part, I looked at ways to implement a diet that would
reduce inflammation in my body.
My curiosity and many food experiments lead me down the path of studying and gaining qualifications in Nutritional Science.
However something that made a significant impact on my health was Meditation.
I had always been interested in Meditation over the year's, and when the opportunity presented to learn I threw myself all in.
After a few month's I started to see the benefits, I became more confident and life seemed worth living .
I was feeling stronger, which allowed me to wean off one of my many medications.
The more I accepted my body, no matter how uncomfortable the sensations were, that's when the magic started to happen.
I could see I wasn't Broken. I learnt to calmly co - exist and be at peace with my body.
The Meditation is Body Calm, a modern day meditation technique that helps the body Heal.

I went on to train as a Body Calm Coach with Sandy in his academy in 2015.
After completing the year course, I was then able to teach and share this simple
yet profound technique with others.
I discovered more of his techniques, whilst studying and embodying the work
I began clearing my own limiting beliefs, by putting in the work it paid off.
I started to experience the benefits.
This made a profound impact on my healing journey.
I wanted people to experience what I did and still do.
